Broke down a window ac unit and out poped a 4" long scorpion bounced off my leg and took off! Mother nature did not like me for releasing the freon I think!

I run in to them all the time.

I have an employee who just picks them up with his bare hands.
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

Seen many scorpions while I lived in AZ, even some in my house. I sat on one while camping and got stung, not a good surprise. Lesson learned, when outdoors, look before you sit.

One stung my mom in the tail twice.. seems he didn't want to share those shorts she was putting on. She always shakes them out real well now.

I find lots of spiders and some bees in some of the monitors I do, even had a piece of equipment die a few years ago from a lizard, but never a scorpion.

PS what average per pound do you see from window AC units?

I break them down

This one I got 3 lbs CU
8 lbs alum/cu raid/coil
34 lbs sheet steel
13 lbs elect motor
28 lbs compressor/sealed unit

Total should get me $22-$25 or so.

Great. Now I'm afraid to carry the air conditioner down the basement.

nor all that glistens gold.

I found one in my dryer yesterday. First one I have ever seen in real life, and he was not a happy camper.
