Finally....I Found Silver in my Lincolns!!

Been waiting to get into this club for a while :mrgreen:

Last night was going through a Box and out popped a little gem.

First thought "Great a Dime, always a treat"
Second thought "Why is King George's face on it, must be a Canadian dime, even better".
Third thought, after looking at the reverse "Pence...Kangaroo...Huh?,This ain't Canadian"

Low and behold a 1943 D Six Pence (Australia, .925) 8-)

Nice. Never found silver Australian or silver in a penny box.
267,500 pennies and 186,000 nickels searched. Hand sorter.

Welcome to the club. It is a tough one to get into. I think the silver 6 pence is one of the highest degrees of difficulty. The two other tiers you can hope to add to your credits are the silver roosie and the silver merc. You will probably find the silver roosie long before you see the merc. :mrgreen:

Great news.

Just thinking today. I have found a total of 3 buffalo nickels, but never an Indian head cent. Never found any silver in the cents.
Silver Monometalism is the most permanent and stable form of money the world has seen. Natural law and history prove silver value is best multiplied by gold and best divided by copper. It is only in this counterfeit currency time when the natural law appears suspended.

Thanks all, apparently lightning does strike twice in the same place.

Sorting a box today from a pickup about 3 weeks ago and low and behold another 6 pence.
George V, New Zealand, 1936. Only 50% silver this time, but I'm not saying a word if I can keep this up. :shh:
