Cro Coin Roll Opener

Postby bbrodka » Mon Feb 25, 2013 12:26 am

Anyone ever try one of these?

I was wondering what kind of blades it took and if the blade could be adjusted as to not to scrape the edges of the coins, damaging them

Thanks for your feedback

I haven't tried one.
If you get plastic rolls just score them with a knife from end to end while they're still in the box. Then bend them and they break right open.
If you get paper rolls, this is the method I use.

I only cut one end and push them out with my thumb.

Well I got two of these this week, and wanted to give you some feedback.

I really like them, I can open a box of pennies in 5 1/2 to 6 minutes without breaking a sweat!
They do lightly scratch the edge of the coins if you press to hard, but not as bad a when I was using a box cutter to slit the sides, plus it is much safer then a knife. I have done 14 boxes so far with it, and it worked flawlessly. A spare blade is included with the unit. I will definitely buy again on I wear these ones out, and will get the 10 pack from the second link above as they were very inexpensive from them.

Rollcracker 2000! Of course it would fill your garage. I think Hoard has one.
