A trip to the beach...the one that got away.

Just got back from Gulf Shores, Alabama area. Unlike many folks on the beach that found seashells while playing in the waves, lo and behold, I looked down to see..........(dramatic pause), something shiny turning end over end in the tide. It looked like a penny. By the time I reached down to grab it the tide had washed it away. Could it have been a 1909 VDB? I'd like to think so. It was definitely the one that got away.
