Color looks like gold. Smaller than a half then $10 Gold, Larger than a half then $20 gold.

The edges look copperish...I wish you luck....but could it be an old half-cent. Aren't the large cents about the same size as a half or a little bigger? (at work or I would compare myself)

Found a coin recently that's was only slightly larger than a penny - stuck in the middle of a CWR, not as ugly as your find, but it was a Mexican
centavos 1972
