They sure are nice at our coin shop.

So today Franklin and I stop at our coin shop to see if they had any Canadian coins as they sell at a .8 of face. The owner pulled out a new bin and said he started a bin for the .999 nickel francs and gilders to save for us. So less digging in the junk bin for us and at six cent each you can do beat how nice they are to Franklin. Also got a free token.

That's what my little hoard looks like! I've been slowing gathering these during my visits to my LCS. I collect the Canadian nickels and the Francs when I see them.

It is awesome to deal with nice, fair shop owners. To find both is a rarity. Most LCSs in my area have crazy prices on foreign. Bottom price in the foreign bin everywhere I go here is $0.25.

It is a 1943 farthing from the UK somehow it was in the Canadian bin. When we go into this coin shop they have a bins for Canadian 1 cent , 5 cent , 10 cent, 25 cent and 50 cent . They just hand me the bins and a calculator and then I get to add them up and x them by a point 8 and then add the nickel coins up. Also the total came to $3.04 and they say make it $3.00. All this trust started after my son Franklin found a two-cent US coin in the junk bin worth twenty dollars and pointed out that it was in the wrong place. Also Franklin has found silver in the Canadian bins that was missed and gave it back.

So today we were buying the Canadian coins they had at a .8 and Franklin found a real nice full wheat 1910 cent and gave it back to the coin shop they said it was a $10 coin. They let us count up the coins and and X .8 and pay. We did get three King George V cents this time at a .8 of face.
