I have the chance to buy a unopened 1973 mint bag of pennies. Any ideas on what would be a good price? What would you pay? Ty

How many pennies in a mint bag? Which mint did they come from?

Not old enough?, but could maybe be split up to get you money back?
http://coppercoins.com/ shows little to look for varieties. If it was a bag of 68's I would consider since I love the higher relief that year, otherwise i just don't know, really high mintage, just nice copper pennies.

Well I went ahead and bought these for $90. The bag has a couple stains on it but I figured what the heck. Hope I made a decent deal. Thanks for help.

You got them for less than melt. If they still shine, put some in a glass jar somewhere where you'll see them every day, sounds corny, but it's a great way to give passing appreciation to a fine little coin lot.

$90 sounds good to me. I think that was a good buy.

That was a good buy. 1973 just happens to be my birth year, so i am impressed.

Where did you find it?
