I haven’t gone to CS machines nearly as much as I used to.
I assume they would reject any silver or foreign coins. Correct?
Do they accept clad Kennedy halves?
Do they accept SBA dollars?
Do they accept Ike dollars?

Do Coinstar Machines Accept 50c & $1 Coins?

Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).
NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

Ike $1. Not accepted.
Silver. Sometimes, but most do not utilize comparators.
Foreign coins. Magnetic are rejected. Others rejected by size, both thickness and diameter.
Halves and modern dollars. Typically not rejected, but some CoinStar machines are designed to take nothing larger than quarters.
If properly maintained, this is the short answer. The 9%-16% fee for cash vouchers scares most coin searchers away.
Time for more coffee.
