1992 nickel P over D?

Postby pcm2007 » Wed Nov 04, 2015 10:05 pm

Hello friends,
Putting my nickel collection in coin holders I came accross this. The image is a scan of the mintmark. Could it be a P over D variety? The Red Book does not mention such a thing in respect to nickels. You might have to reduce the image dimensions a little in an external viewer to see it more clearly.
Thanks in advance for your answers,
Pedro

Being that the mintmarks were not added by hand anymore in 92, I wouldn't think it would be possible.. The picture is blurry, it may have taken a hit

Thank you very much for your answer. Certainly mintmarks were not punched by hand in such a date, so you've cleared my mind regarding my question. It resembles an over-impression which would have been impossible. Anyways, I've replaced the scan with better ones in my previous message and added a whole picture of the coin's obverse.
regards,
Pedro
