So I inherited this note, have no cool story on how I got it, but I do. 3 or 4 years ago I submitted pictures to heritage, "an online auction company" and they offered 500. I thought something was up, b/c most notes like this sell for 100. So 2 years ago I did the same thing. Submitted it again, and heritage offered 850. So I knew something was really up. Again, I threw it in the safe and at the fun show this year I thought I need to submit it to pcgs paper money. I didn't have it with me so I said the next big show pcgs is at I am going to submit it. So I am at the Baltimore coin show this weekend, and submitted the note yesterday. I got it back this afternoon and it graded vf25 minor stains. I stopped by a dealer friend "ken Byrd" really nice trust worthy guy. He looks at it for two seconds and says you got a special note spencer! He said if I auctioned it right now it would go for probably 2-3000. He said the Lawrenceville bank got flooded so the notes are hard to find in the condition mine is in or better. He said they usually have a lot of stains. He recommended that I hold onto it, until the market came back. He said in a hot market this note could go for 6 grand. So just thought I would share a cool story. Also Lawrenceville VA is about 30 mins from my house so It was probably picked up from the bank

Cool, never thought a $5 bill would be worth that much. But this should go in the paper money section.
267,500 pennies and 186,000 nickels searched. Hand sorter.
