Wild stuff keeps rolling in - 1768 8 reales pillars dollar

Postby OneBiteAtATime » Tue Sep 11, 2012 9:45 pm

Lots of difficult to authenticate, neat stuff has been rolling in. Today's was a 1768 8 reales from Mexico City. Pics.

Last week was those China Dollars - pretty sure they're good, but the better one is hitting the mailbox for grading. Also last week was the 2 key date liberty head nicks - pretty sure they're fake, but have to get authentication to prove it.

Today was this...... passes the magnet, weighs 26.9g, has tarnished toning. Coins are fun.... :)

The details seem really good, almost too good. But if it weighs corectly then you are probably OK.
