Each of the last 4 boxes yielded less than the one before. This is NOT a good sign for my next one.

Regression to the mean. I suggest not griping about it and instead appreciating your good fortune.

But, But, I LIKE to gripe, isn't my right to gripe covered somewhere in the Constitution??? It must be, our judges seem to be able to find everyother off the wall right covered there.

The latest SILVER stats for September have been posted. Look to the first post of this thread to get the details. Always look to the line just before the Kitco quotes to see the last post that was included in the latest update.

Sometimes you get hit by something totally unexpected.

Half Box #82

1 1961
1 1957

1 1918

And this THIS:

1838 CAPPED BUST

Since my knowledge of coins of that timeframe is next to nothing I had to research it just to find out it's name.

I'm no expert in grading coins, but the closest picture I've found to match the condition of mine is this one:

Bama that's an amazing find! I'm sure country would be able to tell us, but I doubt any of those have been found this year. Congrats!

Great find Bama! Now flip it over and tell us there is an O mintmark on the reverse. :o

I managed to get a little sorting snuck in this week.

$130 CWR dimes
1 silver Roosie - 1964

$720 CWR Quarters
1 Silver - 1964

$1500 Quarters - 3 loose bags from Bank
1 Silver - 1964
At least I am getting the silver searcher score up a little

All good streaks must come to an end - I should know better than to accept a box of CWR halves from the bank
$500 Box CWR Halves
Silver skunk
A few shiny ones
79-s
87-s
89-s
92-s
one gold plated

$500 Box BWR halves
Back to the silver streak!
1 - 67
1 - 69
2 - 63 Franklins
and my second and third official Real Cent counterstamped halves - Which one of you guys are putting these in circulation?
2002-P
2003-P
Both punched on the obverse with R C
Trying to collect the whole set.

Bama, awesome find. I think thats the first I have ever seen a capped pulled from a box. Seen a few seated but never any capped. Well done! You have been getting some smoking boxes lately.

WOW!!! What a great find.... A $100 coin. Check to see if it has an "O" mint mark on the obverse (a $40000 coin).

It's the oldest SILVER coin reported (older than the 1854 Love Token found by cecropia_moth on 6/27/10).
