If sh*t ever hits the fan, I am building a fortress on my roof using bags of pennies so I can keep watch over the neighborhood. to change the subject a bit, I have been considering gluing pennies, and nickels to the interior walls of my house with military grade epoxy (the kind they use in basements when they fix your foundation; the black stuff), it is stronger than steel. I am going to layer them 10 or so deep, I will have bulletproof walls. :shh: 8-)

Hmm. I'm trying to imagine what that would look like....building a fighting position behind bags of pennies!

Worse case scenario...you can drop a bag of pennies on a bad guy when you run out of ammunition!

i dont have drywall. in any case though I would be screwing plywood into the studs over my plaster walls, and gluing the pennies and nickels to the plywood. all this is just fun ideas anyway, probably wont ever do it (it would look like crap, and devalue my house). Unless, we fall into long term post apocolyptic chaos that allows me the time and material to do so. Like we are thrown back into the 1700's but not really dealing with mercenaries & people running around mad.

Well, having penny and nickel reinforced walls could probably keep the zombies out!
