How much are your local coin shops paying for silver?
Posted: Mon Jul 14, 2025 5:56 pmCurious how close to spot any shops are paying. For the hell of it, I should bring a 90% half dollar to the shop nearby to see how much they could offer me.

The shop in Spring Hill FL is paying the highest prices I've seen... waaaaay better than big boys like Apmex.
Excluding slabbed and MS coins, he's basically a churn and burn operation.

Currently paying...
Spot for ASEs (must be BU, no milk spots)
-$1.25 below spot on .999 bars and generic
-$2 below spot on 90% junk
$28 for cull silver dollars
90% for 92.5 sterling
Gold:
Spot on 1oz Buffaloes
98% of spot on foreign coins and bars.
90% payout on scrap gold jewelry... probably the best you'll find anywhere.
