I got bored today at work and decided to make a nickel coin holder (we have a metal shop on site.) - Anyone have suggestions on how to make the next one better?

What do you use it for? Also it looks like a die.

From the little bit I understand... when your making hobo nickels, you use it to secure the nickel in place so you can "work on it.

They sell for around $40? I wasn't planning on selling them unless someone is interested? I could probably make them and sell them for $25?

Beautiful work.

Without being there to play with it, the only thing I could suggest would be to make sure you try it out with a worn buffalo to ensure it holds securely and places the coin high enough. It looks great with the newer coin.

If you run into side to side stability problems, you could address them with 4 slots, pipe threads, and a nut on the outside of the clamp.
