Posted: Thu Dec 12, 2013 8:52 amI go through spells when I don't carve but as the winter sets in I have been getting back into it. I like this one that I just did a week or so ago so I thought I'd share. I changed the buffalo into the turtle and through in the fish for added effect.

Posted: Thu Dec 19, 2013 9:55 amProbably a rotary tool, some type of wearable magnification, and a respirator. Although you can't get real good quality without hand gravers, or a power graver. You can get hand gravers fo pretty cheap, you just have to learn to sharpen them properly.

No, an old wood carving friend of mine starting dinking around a few years ago and I gave him a bunch of nickels... He's got one of my BU 1936's. He's doing gold inlay on it... When I get it I'll post a pic out here... no eta... The guy is a true artist, travels the world taking classes. This doesn't even come close to his work. He's one of those carvers that makes things lifelike... Does great gun work also.
