Nickel on a Penny Planchet?

I found something very interesting in my sorting today. This coin came from bagged coins. It looks like a nickel and is the color of a nickel, but the size of a penny. It lines up just exactly the size of a penny. However, there are two flaws. One, it has kind of rounded edges, not the type of edges like on a penny. Secondly, it weighs 3.92 ounces. You can't see the date on it. Did someone try to "fake" a nickel on a penny planchet by cutting it down? Is this really a nickel on a penny planchet? It doesn't seem possible because of the weight difference. Would there be any kind of market for this as an error coin?

Post a pic! And I'm sure you meant 3.92 grams?

Yes, it was shaved down to be the size of a penny.
