Ryedale sorters- useful life and maintenance rqmts.

There is an entire section on the forum dedicated to Ryedales and other sorting equipment. With some 240 threads, most of your questions should be answered.
That said, the Ryedale line of sorting equipment are sufficient for the needs of most members that own one. The key to proper long term life is to keep the machine clean, as there are many surfaces that can accumulate dust, grit, and a variety of other gunk and trash. Proper lubricant with the recommended products is also essential to ensure smooth movement of feed wheel and other parts.

I also suggest using some sort of hearing protection while running any type of sorting maching. Many of these machines are very loud. Long term unprotected exposure could cause some hearing loss.
