What is the worst box of pennies you've seen?

Many have mentioned how they went through boxes of halves, quarters, and (sometimes even) dimes and been skunked, that is, found nothing really worth saving. I'm curious- what is the worst $25 box (or decent sample size if you don't use $25 boxes) of pennies you've encountered? I automatically return coppers that are ugly (anything a collector wouldn't want), unless the coin is a valuable date. Once we start getting skunked on penny boxes, I wonder where people will begin to look... Any ideas? And what is your worst skunking on pennies thus far?

Other then solid boxes of sheild cents, my worst were in the 18% range. That was back in 9/2011, I also had some of my best boxes that month too, high 40's - low 50's%.viewtopic.php?t=8197

I've had non skunk boxes I still cannot believe I went to the trouble to sort through, with about 1 penny per roll. In the 2-3% range.

I don't think I've ever had a box lower than 15%, or a bag lower than 20%. Other than new boxes, which actually aren't totally new for some reason, so they may have had a few coppers.

It was a box from the main M & T bank in my area. Though I've several accounts and car loan with M & T, it was my first time using the main bank. The head teller was miffed at all the penny hoarders/dumpers and gave me a hand sorted, hand wrapped box that contained major zinc with copper '82s, copper Canadian, and all the copper (including a few Wheaties) missed from hand sorting. An obvious noob to the art of sorting. You can bet I milked all the copper I could find from that one.

My worst box of pennies were all green and corroded. I couldn't run them in my Ryedale or put them in the coin counter at my local credit union.

My worst box would be one which was almost all zinc. An all Zinc box weigh's about 14 lb, 2 oz. i have one right now which is 14lb, 3 1/2 oz. will be returning this one to the bank.

as for absolutely worst. there are some detectorists which turn in DISGUSTING pennies. i have gotten a box with about 4-5 dollars of these coins which won't go thru coin counters. i used to be a detectorist, and put all of my ugly's in a 5 gallon container to deal with later.

When the new ones are still getting spread out, when they really start hitting your area, I was opening my boxes right at the bank and sending them back on the spot.
