I'm starting to take a bit more time hand sorting and found this one today while sorting. It's a 2000 and I believe this is the wide AM variety and am looking for verification. Thank you,

Looks like one to me.
Space between A M and FG is close to the memorial.

I'm sure TJCF will chime in, He's the WAM expert.

Thanks for the link, and I too am anxious to hear from TJCF

I haven't always looked too closely at spotting these varieties and plan to slow down and check for others

It definitely is one.

I have found several over the years, and usually get around $5.00 for them on eBay.

The "FG" looks close to the steps.
I think you got a WAM.

Looks good but as the dies wear out, the letters seem to want to spread apart. So, as long as the gap lengths are the same distance from the "A" to the "M" as from the "M" to the "E". They must match. You can find examples that show a gap between the "A" and "M" but then the gap is twice as wide between the "M" and "E"(next letter in AMERICA). But that would be a normal coin. Don't be fooled. I was many times.
