My wife went to our bank to dump some pennies for me. They said they had no boxes to give her but someone had brought in $30 in rolled pennies to help pay for a vacation & they saw some wheat backs. She took them. In those 3000 pennies were 2753 wheat backs. I have not examined them closely but it looks like a lot of 40s and 50s.

Someone could have had a little more money for their vacation if they had just listed those wheats on eBay.

Not so sure about that.. with all the eBay and PayPal fees you might net less than face. Then they would probably want to lock up your PayPal funds for 60 days before releasing them. You might not get the money in time to use it for a vacation.

Go back to that branch and get any other rolls of coins you can. There is a tendency for folks turning in rolled coin to do the bigger denominations first to get more bang for their roll. So if they are turning in pennies now, they may have turned in the other rolls earlier that day or a couple of days before that. You know $30 isn't going to fund much of a vacation. You might score a few rolls of silver!
