I found a 1945 wheat penny missing the "1" in 1945. Any thoughts on the value?

3 cents.
That does not sound like a mint error, it's 99.9% likely that it is "post mint damage".
It's not difficult to alter the face of a coin gently enough to make things look "missing". But experts can tell if it's a mint error (worth a lot extra) or "post mint damage" worth nothing over "wheat value".

Thanks, there is a very faint impression where the "1" should be, but you have to turn the coin at an angle to see it.

During the minting process some grease getting into the die where the 1 is located will cause a weak strike and thus wear out faster that a nor greased coin.

That sounds like what may have happened here, there is a small mark where the one should be. I am scanning it at the office tomorrow and will try to post it.
