There now seems to be a double push thanks to little joeys weak foreign policy. We had the green energy push driving copper and nickle up. Now we have an increased projected shortages because Russia is a big mining country....

This is true, but we should do some mining ourselves - bank mining!

No pressure to anyone waiting for copper to moon into the double digits. But I am trying to buy some CTUs. PM me if looking to sell (quantity and asking price).

From what I have read it’s down due to global recession fears, despite 2 days earlier articles talking about copper shortages.

Data feed error or something like that. In the futures market, the price is around $3.65 per pound. Check here for example:
https://www.wsj.com/market-data/quotes/futures/HG00
https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/future/hg00

WSJ and MW probably get data from the same place.

OK, just a glitch in Coinflations data feed. That makes more sense. Thanks.

I remember when copper really WAS $2.39 a pound (actually more like $2 even). This was around 8 years ago when gas was cheap and silver was only around $15-$16 per ounce. The last time copper SPIKED was early 2022

Kitco charts suck. Always lots of glitching and bad ticks.

Keep in mind that in the stock market one can take advantage of glitches in extended hours. For instance, if I saw a glitch in the price of silver, I’d look to trade the SLV exchange traded (silver) fund.

On days with little activity (like, for instance, Black Friday), I’ve seen lots of these glitches over the years. Be very careful not to have a heart attack on the day after Thanksgiving!

BUMP!!!! Copper spiked to $4.87 a couple of weeks ago. I wonder how the ebay (and other sellers did). Now Copper sits at 4.41 (per coinflation). Wondering two things: (A) will it drop below $4? (Hopefully not), and (B) will the next spike produce the magical $5.00 cu?

Was a false breakout. Eventually it has to breakout of $5 for good. Inflation will see to that.

On my previous post, I should have asked a third question: If it does reach $5.00, will it STAY there for awhile? A one or two day blip (especially short term) is more likely than an extended run of $5+. And now a 4th question: will the election in November cause a spike?

I would expect an 'R' win in November would be negative for copper (and silver) while a 'D' win would be positive for both copper and silver. This is due to Democrats usually being more supportive (think huge pork projects) for green energies like solar power and electric vehicles. jmho
