Posted: Sun Jun 01, 2025 8:46 pmGot a 1945 1/4 Rupee in my Loomis roll of cents tonight. Looking it up, apparently it is 0.500 silver, so half of 2.9 grams is 1.45 grams silver for a whopping $1.54 worth of silver. Drinks for everyone!

Teller says she has some halfs. Coin counter was out of service for 2 or 3 days and a customer had some halfs to get rid of so they bought them. $20.00 worth so I bought them all. 1-1964 and 9-40 pct. Great score for such a small amount.
