 Strange...one,, lot,, of 5.00 had rolls that were all shield or all older zinc.

Kids learning to sort or just some OCD. lol

Also, in this last bank run, of 100.00 I saw there were some bank rolls. Well they turned out to be 2024d..
Just looked at fbay...wow. fail to see the justification .

Bank box of $25.00

445 pre '82
6 Canada pre '98
20 wheats (oldest 1929)
30 or 40 1982, to be weighed later

So...still around 18% copper (after the 82's weigh out)

I found a branch that seems ok (so far) with forking over boxes on demand. Probably because I don't push it.

And the funny thing is, I walked in...asked if they could sell me a box...and the teller got up out of her chair, walked straight to the vault and came out with one. Normally, they have to stop and ask Shirley, Mabel, and Jennifer to accompany them...like women heading to the ladies room. I was in & out the bank faster than a stick-up guy.

If you can get a consistent 18%, that's not bad at all. The tell will be if that is typical, or if that ends up being a "good" box, with the average being much less. When I was sorting at my peak (which was still much lower level than others here) my typical was about 22%, and while I would see the occasional all zinc box, I would also get many collections of CWR that were all copper. When I was getting a lot of boxes I got to the point where I would weigh the entire box and if it was less than a certain amount I would simply turn it back in without unwrapping it (if they allowed that, and the CU usually would).
