Finished sorting a Loomis box last night. Results were pretty good. $25 face:
526 American copper
19 Canadian copper
17 wheats
562 TOTAL COPPER for an average of 11.25 per roll (22.5 percent)
Note: included in the above were SIX 1981 pennies in absolutely gorgeous UNC condition. I keep them separate from the rest.

HUGE SORT! started approximately two weeks ago and finished this morning:
$132 face - all 264 rolls were CWR. Approximately 12 different banks contributed
2,512 U.S. copper
136 Canadian copper inc two KG pennies
39 wheats inc 9 pre 1940
2687 TOTAL COPPER slightly over 10 per roll which means a little over 20 percent.
Will be trading the zinc for more rolls tomorrow.
Pulled EIGHT dimes in this sort.

Bag of pennies from a friend that is moving to Texas next week. Very interesting - wheaties appear to have been in a furniture drawer for years (mid-West region?); others were very recent Zincolns.
