Nobody wanted to give me a full box, so I cobbled together rolls from many different banks to make a “box”.
Copper- 665
Wheats- 14 all 40’s and 50’s
Canadian- 3 no coppers
27.2% copper for “box”

Sorted 40 rolls of pennies today:
387 US copper
18 wheats
28 Canadian copper
433 TOTAL COPPER, an average of almost 11 per roll for a pct of almost 22 percent. Also, pulled three dimes.

Sorted two rolls.

No wheats
5 coppers
1 Canada 1964

One of the rolls was solid 2016 bright and shiny.

I'm now keeping all my coins because they're worth more than digital fiats sitting in my bank account, intrinsically speaking that is. Let's just say I'm diversifying into more than gold and silver and copper.

Sorry to hear about such poor results. On a different note, you are keeping ALL zincolns? If so, maybe you know something we don't. I mean zinc is the bottom of the barrell. Isn't it?

I sorted 32 rolls today - 16 were LOOMIS and the other 16 were CWR's. I tabulated results separately so that you can draw your own conclusions etc. First, the Loomis results:
167 U.S. copper
10 cad. Copper
5 wheats
182 total copper which is 11.37 per roll aka 22.75 percent

Now for the CWRs
150 US. Copper
3 cad. Copper
2 wheats
Total of 155 copper which is 9.7 per roll aka 19.4 percent.
One dime

A zincoln is currently worth $0.0094711 so metal value is very close to face value.

As TXSTARFIRE wrote, even the zincolns are almost worth a cent so why not throw them in a jar and see what happens? Full disclosure: I’m not sorting in high quantities with a Ryedale like I used to. Small scale hand sorter now.

Keep stacking.

Sorted 30 rolls today
252 U.S. copper
11 cad copper
4 wheats
267 total coppers or 8.9 per roll. Copper pct of 17.8
As you all know, it's dwindling down.

And another 20 rolls today.
173 US copper
5 cad copper
3 wheats
181 total copper or 9 per roll which = 18 percent

Also pulled a dime for 9 cent profit.

20 more rolls today ($10 face) with soft results
137 U.S. copper
1 cad copper
7 wheats
145 total copper which comes out to 14.5 percent. Been averaging around 17-18 percent, so 14 and a half is a bit soft.

Opened 12 rolls yesterday, pulling 108 copper which is exactly 9 coppers per roll (18 percent). Unfortunately no wheats or dimes

You post made me think about how 98% (just a wild stab at the statistic) of Americans have never had the experience of being disappointed at not finding a dime in a roll of pennies. What a unique bunch we are.

True, but 98 percent of Americans have never even searched a roll of pennies. Also, I feel compelled to point out that last year I pulled 80 dimes which probably puts me over 500 dimes in 11 years. Also, I pulled a dime this morning.

Those are some impressive stats.

And another 20 rolls today (CWR's) with decent results:
171 U.S. coppers
7 CAD coppers
10 wheats
188 total copper which is 9.4 per roll (18.8 percent)
