Ran across this tonite when putting together my own calculators. For US coinage the calculator is using .7234 has the %TOZ for US 90% (so does coinflation). However this is for an uncirculated coin. For typical circulated 90% coinage the typical %TOZ used is .715 . Not a big difference but a difference none the less in favor of the seller to the unknowing. A lot of you probably already know this but I was surprised that all these calculators are using the higher rate.

I've used this app while at the flea market:

... but the pages up top are much more complete and precise. Thanks!

This is a great tool. Wish I had it before I sat down and figured out the math for the conversions. In regards to some of the coins I have, in this case (1920's Walking Liberty). These coins have an average weight of 12.5g and of that 90% is silver. Based on these assumptions' There is .3616958993 OZ of Silver in Walking Liberty Coins. Take that number and multiple by the current spot price and there you have it!

These calculators are a real slick help!

Thanks for posting!

There is also coinflation.com Only beef I have with them is they calculate based on the melt value of the silver and copper in coins. Most folks in the real world don't consider that the copper will be recovered during melting. One bonus with that site is that they have a base metals in coins calculator as well as for some foreign coins (such as Canada).
