I think Jonfly is adding to his short position as SILVER moves higher here. No one really knows what can happen here in the short run. For those of us who are not trading, but accumulating SILVER for our store of wealth, a correction might be welcome here to add to physical positions that we now have. However, SILVER could fool everyone here as markets typically do from time to time.

He's an experienced trader, most likely has position limits on the sizes of his trades. He's playing with risk capital and is willing to use the tools available to him to optimize his bets. He's not going to lose it all if the trade goes the wrong way, probably placed a stop-loss limit (I don't know what the terminology is in future's trading) if the market moves against him. No hard feelings, JFF, but I'd rather have you with us than against us, ie go silver, go. :)

Making its way up into the mid 36s. Done watching for the night - its making me weary just hitting refresh. So will the morning will bring 37 or 35? That'll give me something to see while I drink my morning coffee. Good night all.

Seems like I just finished a PM conversation with Ray about selling some when silver hits 22.00.

He said 'hang on and don't sell in order to pay off debt'.

Pay debt with paper, even if you have to pay interest. You can go ahead and take some profits on silver at $44...

My realist side - I don't ever recall being so excited and scared at the same time in my life.

My conspiracy theory side - I feel like "they're" running it up in the not so public Sun night market for a perceived drop tomorrow in the spotlight hoping to continue to scare out the weak. I dont know if that makes sense, but it's an occurrence that I've noticed more and more often.

Just noticed this typo. Was a fill @ $36.40. Fat fingered the iPhone. The difference in outcome won't have that great of an effect with either price.
Scratch that. Thought the prior did not record properly.

"They" don't have to run it up, the big Asian buyers do that for them, but you may well be right about the aftermath. "They" generally tend to pounce on the price between 10:00 and 10:30am EST. Don't ask me why, because it's just so obvious, but day after day you see the same patterns, probably reliable enough for someone to trade them (someone with more guts than me). I'd rather just buy and hold... and if the price drops just buy more, instead of looking to short a supposedly overbought condition.

looks as if I got into my trade too early. Oil's up because of idiot quadafi.
I'll most likely get stopped out today, but I still believe there is a great propensity for a correction. Short term buyers, beware. I'm sure the price of physical will stay steady because of the greedy dealers and maniacal ebay bidders. I will buy ZSL if we see a big correction; I'd advise others who want to make a paper profit to do the same.
Pessimism in investing has always given me more luck, I'm looking to set up a short position in the s&p, mainly if we see a 12/28 death cross. It's getting close.
Good luck everyone!

SILVER looking strong here this morning, after an attempt by the shorts to push the price down. I believe it's going higher to the next logical price level -$40. That is where more profit taking could ensue to make for a moderate sized pull back.

Shorts gaining control again at noontime. A pitched battle has ensued. :o

I'm learning to look at the bright side of things. I no longer mind when there is a fair-sized pullback from new highs, because subliminally investors will be thinking "gee, I think I'll get some silver... look how high it went, it's bound to go back up and even pass that point," and "well, guess I'll buy some more bullion, it just went on sale." Whether it's sooner or later, within the next five years we'll see prices ten times as high as they now are. 8-)

Thanks for the laugh.
*EDIT: I got stopped out today, pulled the trigger too early. Seeing some serious price action in Asia with a 0.08% increase in silver. You watch, we'll see some big declines tomorrow since I'm not holding a short position.

Evening Ya'll.

i still maintain we are headed for $70 to $80...first MAJOR stop, then to the $125-150 range, and coming to rest in the $250 to $350 an oz, silver.

sure we can sell off $5 anytime up the ride, BUT watch Oman and Bahrain, very very closely. The Sa-udi Kingdom is also very very jittery.

forget about Libya, Qadaffi is a dead man walking. If the US does any unilateral military ops without Russian approval, things could get interesting.

It's good to be back, neil
