Foreign Nickel

It claims that it is the standard 25% copper, 75% nickel.

I used to take this list with me every time I sifted through my LCS junk bins. Fished out plenty of 99% Ni Canadian and French Francs. Sadly, he has no more junk bins.

It is indeed very sad when dealers no longer have junk coin boxes. Ditto for bid/buy boards.

True, another sad thing is when dealers jack up the price of their "junk coins". In my area, an LCS raised their foreign coin price from ten cents to 25 cents. Years of plucking old coins and foreign nickel at a dime each were great, but are gone now. Was in this particular LCS two days ago and bought 9 coins at 25 cents each. At the old price, I would have bought more than 50 coins including a few French nickel coins.

Also, now is probably not a good time to sell foreign nickel because the commodity is slumping right now - what are people willing to pay? Also, I can't justify plucking foreign nickel at 25 cents each unless it's a coin backed by numismatic value. Most of them aren't.
