Should have stayed home

Postby Morsecode » Wed Feb 14, 2024 1:12 pm

After snowblowing and shoveling last night I was looking forward to relaxing with a box of cents tonight. Picked up a box of 2023 at the first bank, and a box of 2023 at the second bank.

On top of that, my fav coin shop, next to bank #2, is closed for vacation til next week.

I just remembered I have a sock drawer that needs organizing

Ooph, a double-burn. Hopefully the universe keeps this in mind on your next pickup, and we see a near-future thread of "Found a couple IH."

Not content with a double bust out, I drove yet another several (8) miles out of my way to a branch I hadn't set foot in since 2016, and pleaded for a box. Good news! Not a 2023.

2022.

I sold one of the '23 boxes to a diner where I go so often they know what I'm going to have before I sit down, and I dropped a second box (the '22s I think) into a Goodwill box at a convenience store, which may just end up being my new dump strategy

I need some ice cream and a nap.
