Don't have one. But here's what will go in it, for a start.

Gold ~ half of my stash
Silver - $10 silver quarters
Cash - $500 in 20's, 10's, 5's, 1's

Don't know about the above, those are just guesses at this point.

Some food ideas
3-Emergen-C packets
3-7.5oz Cans Salmon
500ml Olive Oil

Lots of healthy calories there.

I wouldn't consider this a "bug-out bag" for an emergency situation but considering all the times that we have ended up at a doctor's office and/or the hospital with my husband, our son and my dad prior to that I do not leave the house anymore, especially in the last 6 plus years that I have not been able to drive, without having a bag with me that contains something to crochet, at least one book to read, a snack, something to drink, etc.

I can have the patience to sit for long periods of time in a waiting room or a hospital room etc as long as I have something to help occupy my time. I can't stand just sitting.

My fiancee and I went to Walmart to pick up a few things yesterday and I remembered that I needed a new toothbrush. So I went to the personal-care area and saw multipacks of four toothbrushes for about $2.50 each. So I bought all eight packages. I don't think it's possible to have too many toothbrushes, given the impact on health that teeth can have.

and a toothbrush makes a good tool when you are done using it for your teeth, great for cleaning guns, or even sharpened into a sharp point, say for a spear.

First aid is also necessary. Maybe some rubbing alcohol and bandages too.

I guess we haven't established how long I'll be gone and where I'm going. But let's just assume I'm fleeing the big city for the country and don't have much time to pack (perhaps floodwaters will be here in 20-30 minutes). I would likely take 1 or 2 backpacks and include the following and more:

Bottled water
Blankets
Cash ($1,000-$2,000 in case there is a bank holiday)
Some coins of value (likely silver, as copper and nickel will be too bulky to take when I'm in a hurry)
Vitamins
Clif bars (nutrition bars in case they don't have them in your area)
Chips and/or crackers
spam
Reading material
Very few clothing items (just the minimum)
Maybe a portable computer (depending on the situation)
Maybe a backup of the files on my computer (depending on the situation)
Gun with ammo (depending on the situation)
Passport (depending on the situation)
Medical supplies (depending on the situation)
Printout with names and contact info for loved ones
Cell phone with charger
Waterproof matches
Hand sanitizer

I don't want to forget my loved ones (can't forget them) and it would be great if my next door neighbor was Richard Dean Anderson of "MacGyver" fame- he could take a paper clip, a piece of duct tape and some spit and turn it into a formidable weapon- of course some could do it with just the spit, but that is a different matter altogether... :)

I'm sure there are some critical items I'm not thinking of. Hopefully the cash and silver would allow me to obtain them in a pinch. I too was unable to view the information that should have originally been posted at the link above.

How about paper maps or a old school road atlas? In case your smart phone stops working...

My main question is... After you bug-out, where are you going to go? Your bug-out bag will run dry very quickly. Very good chance that some desperate, armed person(s) will steal it.

Bug-in... with water, food, guns and plenty of ammo.
