i am home, but now i must travel into the ghetto to see my parents for a little while. On the way home from my auction house, I saw a convoy of humvees and personnel carriers at least 2 miles long heading north  ......Getting home I saw on the local news , the National Guard is gathering in ferguson in a Wal-Mart parking lot, barricading it and forming like a wagon train circle, saw some armored transports, and other heavily fortified armory.....I guess the decision will be tonight or tomorrow.....horrible timing, my auction is tomorrow night. too late to cancel. I am just hoping they dont release the news until wednesday. Starting wednesday I dont have to do anything for a month. keeping my fingers crossed. I will update you all as often as possible....unless of course I dont,,,, and then just assume I have no power or cell phone service, but will update asap. thanks.

Sounds like there will be more cops/security personnel than protestors. I would not worry about much except maybe travel delays/detours. Best wishes for peace for all.

most people i know are either worrying to death and not preparing or not caring at all and not preparing, a few people i know are taking steps to protect themselves but only like 3 people, everyone else doesnt know what to do. i lost access to my home internet last night for some reason, not my fault, i have no land line and no wifi...quite a coincidence. att told me they are having difficulties establishing service in my area. bs. this is from my cell.

still no phones, wifi, or internet access.....att keeps telling me it is not just me, and it is a connection error. going out of my mind without my daily dose of the internet, feels like withdrawl from your favorite drug. i figured out i could turn the wifi off on my my phone and use 4g, it allows me to browse the internet, but the screen is so small and it just doesnt work well for me......i hope this outtage has nothing to do with the potential release of the grand jury decision...it wouldnt surprise if it was, but i know other people have internet and crap, i dont get it why i dont have it. they told me just this morning it will be at least another 12 hours....thats the fourth time in 2 days i have heard that. growl.

Are the phones/internet working? That is a good way to disrupt people organizing protests. I know from being involved in the anti-globalbization movement back in the day that they have devices that can shut down cell phones in a specific areas. They have been used to stop protestors from communicating with one another when trying to blockade World Trade Organization meetings.

lastly......a bit closer to home...appearing overnight a large staging area has been setup at the parking lot behind QuickTrip in South Saint Louis off Chippewa.......3 blocks from my mom & dads house they currently live in & that I grew up in. This is the same area the protesters were burning upside down US flags a few months back, this area is expected to be a hot zone.

i guess there is no more waiting now, i have had this long to plan, tomorrow will be my last chance to get anything I need before I begin the week long "shut in" at home.....more and more of my family and friends have now been preparing with food, supplies, batteries, gas, etc. Most people I know are just planning on staying home, but many also still must work and commute, so we will see what happens. I have no worries about this upcoming SHTF scenario concerning most of my family & friends, with the exception being my mom and dad, which I may have to evacuate them, if it gets bad at their house, or even worse I might have to show up and attempt to evacuate them during a hostile situation, and possibly some of their elderly neighbors. Still hoping that wont be the case, but I just cant be sure. I also have several friends & family members who are police who will be on the front lines during the rioting. I sure hope this is all being overblown.
