Black swan in the making? Illegal immigrant teens

The basics are in this link below but the article just aired on The Kelly File contained far more alarming (if correct) information, as one the guests - a filmmaker who is on his way back to the border to capture this in the making - said the increase in incoming teens from South/Central America is the tip of an iceberg which is already in the water and about to collide with the US, as he claimed entire villages are emptying out and currently headed north and about to impinge on the US border. This could be a true black swan in the making, seeds sown by BHO when he implicitly invited them and said he wouldn't deport them if they made it across; they heard and are coming.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/06 ... latestnews

...illegal immigrant traffic from Central America is rising once again.

According to one estimate, the number of unaccompanied children caught on the southern border has exploded -- from 6,500 in 2011 to an estimated 90,000 this year, and nearly 150,000 projected for next year.

The above numbers are pure estimates which - if the guest was correct about what was in play as we speak - could be off by factors. What will be the result of a flood of hundreds of thousands of teens crossing the border within weeks...?

Between San Diego and LA there is a choke point as the costal mountains come close to the ocean near San Onofre. It is here on the 405 freeway there is a border patrol checkpoint (or at least there used to be). 20 years ago my wife and I spent a week-end camping at the San Onofre campgrounds on the bluffs overlooking the ocean. The camp grounds butt up against the railroad lines that lie between the freeway and the bluffs. So it's hills, freeway, rail lines, camp grounds, bluffs, beach, ocean.

We stayed thru Sunday night and observed hundreds of Latino aliens walk north on the beach, walk thru the campgrounds on old coast highway, ride the trains, get chased by the border patrol in vehicles up the 405 (one unloaded several in front of the freeway fence as we watched the border patrol pull up behind, Billy Club them off the fence, pull them down, and throw them in the back of the van,) and cross on the coastal hills from evening thru the late night en mass.

Estimates are from 11 to 20 million illegal aliens currently in the U.S., with from between 300,000 ('08 and '09) to 800,000 ('04 and '05) crossing yearly. We can project since times are better here in the U.S. now than they were during "The Recession" but, not as good as during '04/'05 the number of aliens currently crossing lie somewhere in between. So what's another hundred thousand per year?

I wouldn't call it a flood as we are already experiencing a flood for decades that cannot be stopped so long as times are better here than in Guatemala, Mexico, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, and Honduras. Maybe a large fire hose compared to a flood? And I'm not surprised that there is an increase in the number of teens crossing for as shatty as things are for teens in this country it has to be many times worse in the countries listed above.

Edited to add regarding the teens migrating to America: "The children don't only travel because of poverty or reunification. In a recent study we have detected that another important theme is migration because of insecurity," said Julia Gonzalez, coordinator of the nonprofit National Bureau for Migration in Guatemala.

A study released in March by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees said about half of 400 kids interviewed reported they had experienced or been threatened with serious harm. About 300 of those interviewed were from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras — countries that accounted for about 90 percent of the children cared for by the Office of Refugee Resettlement last year. This from: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor ... =318396194

El Norte is the dream. El Norte is the better life. El Norte is money to send back home or to use to start a business here.

One only has to look at the significant decrease in numbers during "The Recession" to know the movement of human beings across borders is mostly economically driven. Things are going to have to get a hell of a lot worse here to stop this flood. I know this sounds crazy but, fighting it doesn't and has not worked as we have decades of history and millions caught and reportedly deported and they still come. Perhaps it would be better to embrace it and work with it?

In all honesty, I don't really expect to see much change at all except for the increase in sensationalism and political mud slinging it is going to be used for. Smoke and mirrors and distractions to keep you from seeing what is really going on. A scape goat to give the people something else to focus on and vent rage on instead of the current unsustainable system and those controlling it.

That's how I see it.

Comments and other views encouraged. :)

John. You are clearly a genius.

Take this response literally. You are 100% correct.

My only retort would be this: No entitlements, then let's see where this thing goes.

When the 100,000 become 500,000 teens per year and when those 500,000 cause their 10,000,000 relatives per year to come join them, then the problem becomes 100x worse. At some point it tips.

In 406 AD the Rhine river froze over and tens of thousands of germanic barbarians poured across. The Roman garrisons tried to stop them but were quickly overwhelmed. It wasn't the first barbarian incursion into the Roman Empire, but it was the largest to that date and it marked the end of any effective control Rome had over its Northern frontier. Four years later in 410 AD Rome itself was sacked by Aleric the Goth for the first time in about 800 years. Less than three generations after that in 476 AD the Roman Empire itself (or at least the Western half) fell to the Visagoths.

Remind you of anything?

I have read that the Obama Admin is actually advertising in Latin America encouraging people to come to El Norte. I have heard instructions on how to file for food stamps are also advertized. In the news Eric Holder is offering free legal help to all who come here so they can stay.

IF there is going to be a huge flood that overwhelms our system, my only hope is it arrives before the mid-term elections. I hope the people give us a majority of Conservative Republicans in both the House and Senate. With that majority, it will be possible to IMPEACH OBAMA & HOLDER for violating their oaths of office.

Obama and Holder are sworn to uphold the law of the land, not break it. Advertizing for an invasion of our land is an impeachable offense. Impeachment and swift action in Congress to enforce our laws is our only hope.

The individual States have to right to protect themselves in the event they are invaded:
U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 10, Paragraph 3: No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.

President Obama, as Chief Executive of the Administrative Branch of our government; and Atty General Eric Holder, as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer, have the sworn duty to protect our borders from invasion:
U.S. Constitution, Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Think of the demands put on government services being provided. Schools, medical care, food, housing, sanitation, crime/police protection, jobs, ...
I can sum it up in three words "Cloward and Piven"!

shazbot, you are exactly right on those services. I wrote my elder senator from Texas yesterday about those very concerns. It will break the bank in my state.
About a year and a half ago I was near an armed forces base and met some guys who were temporarily stationed there. Their responsibility was to oversee an exercise designed to prepare service men and women for an influx of immigrants by erecting a fenced-in tent city. They would put it up, take it down, and put it back up again. While I may be naïve or ignorant and that might in fact be a regular exercise that our armed forces practice regularly, you can't tell me they were not expecting this.

Cloward-Piven is a strategy to collapse the Free Enterprise System we have here in the USA so as to usher in a socialist state.

That socialist state has been tried before. Many times in the last century. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.... USSR... was the first and largest country to try it. It took about 70 years to run it's course. In the end it was an utter failure.

North Koreans are starving by the thousands.

The Chinese socialist state still exists only because they adopted state-run capitalism. What does that make them?

There are Congressmen now starting to talk about Cloward-Piven: http://www.wnd.com/2014/06/congressmen- ... -maneuver/

"I know this sounds crazy but, fighting it doesn't and has not worked as we have decades of history and millions caught and reportedly deported and they still come. Perhaps it would be better to embrace it and work with it?"

We could never end it entirely, but simply not letting employers so readily get away with using illegal labor would put a massive dent in it. Granted still many entirely under the table work, but Ive worked with them in 5 states now, most of them I worked with actually DO pay taxes, apparently often even using the same SS number as many others.

We are also one of few nations that let you become a citizen if you simply make it over the border and have a baby.

In fact as far as the border is concerned Id personally focus any resources more on big items coming over rather then people.

there is NO WAY a federal government as nosey as ours doesnt know where the bulk of these folks work. Make it clear such laws will be enforced.

Which isn't to say we shouldnt also embrace and work with it, but as I see it what I said above is how you embrace it while still limiting it. this is economically driven as you said. Most companies do not break most labor laws, atleast those that are enforced. Honestly some say we NEED these people for all those jobs americans wont do!! PFFFT. Look how many are out of work? plus however many that could work but wont because they can work the system, which isnt everyone who uses such systems but Ive met a few they certainly exist. My take anyway...

Although I've been a conservative since voting in my first national election (Ugh! - Jimmy Carter- a mistake I swore I'd never repeat!), I didn't truly get it until I ran into an Army specialist who had been sent to New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina. We had quite an informative conversation. Since that conversation (and subsequently reading the book "One Second After"), I have never looked at infrastructure, the economy, our currency, or medicine, food, and basic services delivery in the same way again.

We need another Transformative President. Transformative toward the Constitution, Separation and limits of Power, States Rights, and the Original Bill of Rights (not that Humanist drivel). While we're at it, I say let's repeal the 17th amendment (that's where we lost control of the Senate from the people's elected state rep's to the lobbyists in D.C.). Where are George Washington, James Madison or Ben Franklin when you need them?
