Royal Canadian Mint retools

Postby JadeDragon » Thu Apr 16, 2020 4:42 pm

Story about how the RCM is retooling their two facilities to produce hand sanitizer and face shields. First time since WWII the RCM has decided to retool. Also, they had to work around Trump's protectionist actions that saw supplies for hand sanitizer stuck at the border for weeks. https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/fr ... t-covid-19

Not sure how this will impact collector coins that they are no longer producing. Demand will also fall because people are not shopping coin stores, worried about spending on unnecessary things etc.
