Prices on Ebay for common date non-silver Canadian coins, circulated condition, are incredible starting bid amounts. Either sellers do not have a clue about the value or they count on buyers not knowing. Right now, there is a bit of arbitrage opportunity available to anyone on the border states if they are willing to to go through the machinations of coin slogging. Can't be all coin hobbyists buying these coins. I see routinely same bidders willing to pay full face value for Canadian coins. Only thing I can gather is they are accruing Ebay bucks and can spend the coins locally.

Full face value...? How about full face plus 10%. Those are the ones I don't understand.

Maybe I can trade some of my Eisenhower dollar coins for 1968 - 1986 Canadian dollars. Wonder what the Ike to Voyageur ratio is, lol.

Watch it be mostly cents in the box. Great way to do a version of unsearched coin roll. Just state you have pounds of coins but don't bother to say how much of each denomination.

Actually, $5 to $6/lb shipped is the average price of bulk world coins. And that includes non-circulating obsolete.
If that 1 bidder wins out, he gets a fair deal.

I e-mailed the seller. Asked what was the face value of the coins. Here is his answer:

"HI I don't have the total face value just the weight. Thanks. George"

In one of his other auctions, he states the face value of the Canadian dollar coins in it. The seller is either lazy as hell or does not have the coins in his possession or is hiding something. I think he is lazy.
