1943-C Newfoundland 10 cent

Postby Dano » Fri May 24, 2013 8:50 am

I listed this in the tracking threads, but i thought this was very cool.
Found a 1943-C Newfoundland dime.
I discovered that Newfoundland had their own coinage since they were not part of Canada officially until 1949.
The silver coinage was actually sterling (92.5% silver).
This particular coin had a mintage of less than 105,000 pieces, and although it only retails for $3-4, it makes this the rarest coin i actually own due to the very low mintage!

Nice,

Nfld coins have a premium over the equivalent Cdn coins.

Dano Your pictures are lousy, but I think I see a sharp mint state dime with nice toning.

You may have a much more valuable coin than you think.

A better picture would be cool!
