1924 from a Coinstar today. Great find but it pre-dates the book.

Who will be our first winner of 2021 :?:

It was allllmost TXSTARFIRE when the CS gods gave up a 1940-S today. Right year, wrong mint.

The hunt continues...

1939-S today from my regular CS route.

Feeling a little deja vu? That's because I found a 39-S back in Aug 2019, so no matches.

We have a new member of the winner's circle and it's Numis Pam!

Her guess of 1942 made waaaaay back on 10/12/18 finally came across the finish line when I made my regular Coinstar rounds today. And it only took a mere 883 days! But she stayed with her pony and it paid off. Enjoy bragging to your coworkers around the water cooler tomorrow, Pam.

So 129 days after the last discovery, we're down to 26 holes to fill, and coins with considerably lower mintages.

Picks, picks, send me your picks! It's open season until the next date shows up. As always current choices will stay current unless I hear otherwise.

The last day of March's CS searching produced two wheaties ---> 1937 & 1940-S

Alas, nothing new for the book. And on we go...

1951-D today from Coinstar. First wheatie from the 50s in over a year. Oh, and not a match.

Walking around the lobby area after work was over and customers had left frequently means finding dropped change.

Never imagined a wheatie being something that would turn up, but a 1935-D did today. Just crazy!

Matched the 35-D found last Nov so it's nothing new for the book.

The 100-Day Search! That's how much time elapsed between finding the 1942 on March 14th and today's discovery of a 1942-S via Coinstar.

No winner this time yet again, but I'm hopeful those with choices will be in the winner's circle in the near future.

Another 1942 today from Coinstar. No match, but wheats are coming on strong this year.

Friends let me go thru about $140 in accumulated change and three wheats were rescued - 1937, 1946, 1953-D. They're nice additions to the collection but not new to the book.

The last two Coinstar visits netted me seven wheaties: 1928, 1937 (x2), 1940, 1941-D (x2), 1942-S

And bold is beautiful, filling a hole in the book! It's the 2nd most common unfound date but no one predicted it. :(

124 days passed between discoveries and it's the 12th hole filled since I started the book. That an average of one every 88 days, so the next discovery should occur around 1/22/22. Let's see if I beat the odds!

1941 from Coinstar yesterday. Nothing new obviously.

CS has given up over 20 wheats so far this year.

Oh yeah! It's only a month later but we have another date to tick off!

#1 on the list has fallen thanks to today's Coinstar run which produced this very nice 1938. All wheaties with a mintage of over 100 mil have now been found. Let's hope the discoveries don't grind to a halt.

hobo finds wins with a prediction he made over 2½ years ago! You too can join the winners circle by picking a date.

Took a while to come up with any wheats at all since the last discovery, but today's Coinstar find was yet another 1939-S, the third since starting this thread.

Wheats don't seem to be as plentiful as last year up to this point. Today's 1941 was only the 2nd Coinstar find this year (also not a hole filler). Hopefully things pick up.

Another 1941 today from Coinstar.

Have some time off the next three weeks so I should be able to hit more machines and hopefully up the wheatie total.

Sorted thru about $50 in change from a friend and found three wheaties - 1920, 1953-S, 1958-D. The absence of a hole-filler continues.

1941 rescued from a trash can next to a Coinstar. The drought of hole fillers continues.
