I went to the Parsippany show once. It was a fairly large size with a good amount of dealers. If its not far I would definitely suggest you go

There is a big show in downtown Houston 11/29-12/1. I have gone the last couple of years, it is one of the biggest ones I have been to. They have grading companies on site where you can submit coins for grading. I believe they do them the same day, but not sure. I probably won't be able to go this year, but worth it for anybody in the area to check it out.

Oddly enough, there is a coin show the 23rd and 24th in Evansville Ind. Anyone on RealCent gonig to be there by any chance? Not my home territory, but as I happen to be there this week, I plan to stop by. The Aztar convention hall, or some such, I presume down by the river.

Well, I attended this coin show, on the 2nd day. I was told that large dealers came in and bought up most of the 90% and common morgans early on the first day. i bought a few mercury's at 25x face, and 2 Morgans at 29 @. Someone was selling avg circulation Barber halfs for $18 @. The did a very nice job of enticing kids (scouts and others) with prizes and awards and a kids sign in table with some coin give away. They were selling fractional US gold at spot + 10%; I thought that was good prices for $2.50 gold 1908-1910, and 1985 (?) 1/10 US gold. There was a lot of this fractional gold there; the plastic tubes filled with gold coins were very "attractive". Unc Morgan common dates were going for $35.

Last night, I set up at Monroeville Convention Center for the bi annual CAMP show. This is a smaller show than PAN (about 75 tables), but still has great dealers from across the country. The show is in the same building as the PAN show, so here's the address:

Monroeville Convention Center
209 Mall Blvd
Monroeville, PA 15146

During set up last night I ran into some dealers with some very interesting coins. Very little bullion there, and what was on the floor wasn't cheap. General grumblings of the PM markets was heard, but material was still there. It is surely going to be a different show than PAN for 2 reasons. First, many of the Western PA local dealers are not going to be there. Some will be, most won't. So, those that are there will be from other areas... NY, OH, TX, MD, VA, to name a few. This means material that is fresh and seldom seen here! Secondly, PAN interferes with the dates of some larger shows. And this means that competition for quality goods and dealers will be won by those bigger shows. PAN is sure to be great, but I think that with the suppressed PM prices and mix and availability of quality dealers, this CAMP show will be THE opportune show to attend.

BRING CASH... NO SALES TAX IN PA FOR COIN AND BULLION :D

I have a corner table in the front of the room. Walk in the front door, turn left and walk along the inside front of the building... I'm 3 rows over. See you there

I had a coin show today. The traffic was lower than normal, and the depressed PM prices were the talk of the day. People had low hopes of recovering prices. Very few felt confident in buying at these levels and I had a considerable amount of people wanting to sell for cash needs. One guy had a tax bill to pay, another was speculating on lower prices going lower still. Another decided that numismatic investment was the better option and was cashing out some bullion to buy better date coins. Those that were buying were looking for very low premium silver and gold, but had little to no success. Eagles were $31-$35, Gold $5 Eagles were $180... few players at those prices. Offers of 90% were for low grade coins and at spot+$3 premium.

Gold was $1477 and Silver was $25.85

Seemed like the mood of the market was desperation... panic, capitulation, and despondency might be right around the corner

The boy has an aeronautics camp he is attending June 22 thru 26 near Oshkosh, WI. We'll be traveling by car from Upstate NY via Buffalo, Erie, Cleveland, Toledo, Chicago, Milwaukee route maybe leave a day or two early and take a day or two back. Any shows nearby on or around those dates. I'll have 3-4 days to kill while he is attending. Wouldn't mind touching base with other RC members on the way, during, or on the trip back. Possibly a place to overnight to and from. Would entertain any offers.
