Product Options Featuring Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine Quarters Available August 26

WASHINGTON - The United States Mint will open sales on August 26 at noon Eastern Time (ET) for rolls and bags of quarters honoring Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Maryland. The coins were struck on the main production floors of the United States Mint's facilities at Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. Unlike quarters bearing the "P" and "D" mint marks, the quarters with the "S" mint mark will not be released into circulation or included in annual sets. Available product options and their prices are as follows:

The rolls of quarters feature special numismatic wrapping that displays the name "Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine"; the abbreviation "MD" for Maryland; "$10," the face value of their contents; and "P," "D," or "S" for the mint of origin. The canvas bags display a tag with "Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine," "MD," and the mint of origin -- "P," "D," or "S."

Orders will be accepted via the bureau's online catalog at http://www.usmint.gov/catalog and at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468). Hearing- and speech-impaired customers with TTY equipment may order by calling 1-888-321-MINT (6468). The rolls and bags are also available through the Online Subscription Program.

Please note: The United States Mint is offering free standard shipping and reducing the cost of "expedited" shipping by $4.95 on all domestic Web site orders placed during the period of July 26 at 9 a.m. ET through September 30, 2013, at 5 p.m. ET. Free standard shipping during this period applies only to orders placed on the Web site catalog that would normally carry the standard $4.95 or expedited $12.95 (+ $4.95) shipping fee. (Customers will still be charged $12.95 for expedited shipping.)

Could it be that 2013 includes numbers from mint sets, while the other years don't? Do your stats from the earlier years include the ones from mint sets? Those are a different type, but albums don't usually differentiate in their labeling, so a lot of collectors probably don't either.
