I pulled the trigger and bought one to start off the new year right!! It will be the oldest coin in my collection!! I'm happy bc it's already NGC slabbed, too!

I just hope it makes it here safely.

So no sooner does this coin arrive, and my daughter, while going through one of her school assignments, hits a page with an actual Roman coin of Caesar Augustus. She quickly says to me, "IS THAT THE SAME COIN YOU HAVE??!!" :)

The one in her book is about 100 years older, but I showed her that one is available on eBay. :)

Awesome that you are getting the family included in the coins.

Thanks! Yes, it makes me very happy, actually. I believe my late grandfather is happy about it as well (wherever he may be now).

Another good thing that has happened with it is, I am part of a blended family, and my stepchildren's grandfather is also a coin collector. My experiences with my stepson regarding coins have now helped him to find something in common with his grandfather that was not there prior to my introduction in the mix. So, it has helped in more ways than one!
