contemplating scrapping my Coke machine :(

Postby thecrazyone » Sun May 15, 2022 6:13 pm

I have a Coke machine I bought for $50 back in 2010. It's functional, needs TLC.

The time has come for me to move it down the line, and I can't get a single bite on it. I hate the thought of scrapping it, but I also hate the thought of giving it away for free. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Maybe find a facebook group or something similar that is geared towards vending owner/operators? You'd think they would want it for parts if nothing else

Antique machines can attract collectors. Modern machines with bill changers and credit card terminals can attract vendors. The in-between machines that are coin only, functional but outdated, can be a tough sell. I've seen them listed cheap or free and still sit for long periods. Gotta find somebody with a "man cave" type space who wants it, has room for it, and has the means to move it, which can take time.

Totally forgot to reply to this. A guy did come and buy the whole thing last year. I even powered it up for him before he left, so, hopefully it's getting some use now!
