Brazing Tape - Any Thoughts?

Postby Dr. Cadmium » Sun Apr 21, 2019 11:55 pm

Does anyone here have any experience with scrapping brazing tape?

I have several hundred pounds of expired tape that are cobalt and nickel based alloys. None of my usual buyers for exotic metals are interested.

Each type is at least 50% nickel or 50% cobalt, so my thought is that there must be something that can be recovered here.

These materials are not hard solids, they have the consistency of modelling clay or cookie dough.

I did find an outlet for this type of material. If anyone ever has any to sell, send me a PM.

Glad you found a buyer. I hate to see something like this go to waste.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.
