the main beam of the soloflew was 46 lb. and for some reason . they paid the higher grade of prepared, instead of 'torch'.

picked up a tote full of non working lights for 3.00 lo and behold one strand actually worked. lol ..

from another thrift...a bar stool, lawn recliner, file cabinet and a lawn chair.--that was the easy one.. the plastic was sun baked to the point of just falling apart. and poof. prepared steel.

Dryers are good for loose change! $12.50 for the fridge? Are you going to break it down?

another .34 change.

already broken down. lol this is my 4th one. starting to get the hang of it. pull the doors, shelves. and the sealed unit to get the weight down. to get it loaded into the truck. then pull the backing off the freezer to get at the aluminum 'radiator' .. cheaply built this one.. the shelves and handles were steel not aluminum. pull the wires .
last one I pulled the seals and plastic shelving on the doors. it had fiberglass batting for insulation. easy to pull out. then I had clean sheet. this one had foam injected. impossible to remove. oh well.

bought a second dryer at another goodwill, had no room for it, have to pick it up today.

mine on Monday I hope. Funny I had brake rotors in a box and they only paid shred, but I was not going to bother complaining as it wasn't much they did deduct 2 pounds for a beer box full of dirty brass but no deduction for a beer box full of die cast zinc!

give and take. I saw an aluminum ??? tray? that would work well as a trash can lid. and not break down in the sun. . I asked if I could 'steal ' it. so the kid took 2 lb off my small box of shred. so I "" paid"" .11 for 1.00 worth of al. makes up for some of the other things they have done.

ayup. here we are recycling........but really just re using.. in my case. it fits my 20 gal trash can that I use for broken glass

I got two of these out of a dumpster that are of a larger size. they fit my brute trash can -45 gal- just right. and kind of fit the 50. these bigger cans I use for the 'tin cans' .

Yeah kind of hard to figure out still... LOL
I think
sheet iron - shred - unprepared
torch p&s - clean over sized items
prepared - 3'x18" clean
clean sheet - not sure but clean

so on the file cabinets you make anywhere from $5 to $8 each? depending on the grade of steel you get for them...

BY NOW , I know what the grades are,,, just that the 'kids' unloading the truck do not. which is what is frustrating. and economically Russian roulette .

welllllll, that cabinet 'case' minus the drawers got paid as clean sheet, 140/t 7.00 . next week i will take in the drawers , dividers and hope to get prepared. this was a very heavy older, quality or militay. unlike some that are very lightweight.
