Mostly back on track with a more typical total this month and a nice jump in foreign countries, which are now in double digits. Only stats lagging behind are wheaties and silver, which have both not shown yet this year. Mid-month I had a nice score of 23 coins, the largest single haul since Feb of last year. Apartment complex parking lot finds are chugging right along at a penny-a-day pace as my neighbors continuously display their disregard for pocket change.

April totals (2024 totals)

1¢ - .41 (1.02)
5¢ - .45 (.80)
10¢ - 1.40 (2.30)

Much better! You know you had a good month when your total almost surpasses the entire previous four months. Some great foreign additions and I finally crossed the silver and wheatie thresholds. While I'm encouraged by what more can be found with more frequent stops, I also know the upcoming few months will be brutally hot. I'll try to keep up the pace since the green machines keep giving.

May totals (2024 totals)

1¢ - .57 (1.59)
5¢ - .20 (1.00)
10¢ - 1.80 (4.10)
25¢ - 3.50 (6.00)
Total - 6.07 (12.69)

Included in May's total - 1956 wheatie, 1951 & 1964-D dimes

For the month of June, coinstar machines were very uncooperative, producing only a pair of crusty zincolns.

I know the month isn't quite over yet, but I won't get to another machine until at least Monday.

My second-ever war nickel was the star of this month's finds, which landed somewhat below expectations for the US total but made up for it in the variety department. The trio of wheaties was nice, one of which is the new oldest for the year. Strange that I got shut out with apartment complex parking lot lost change. Guess it's too hot for my neighbors.

June totals (2024 totals)

1¢ - .27 (1.86)
5¢ - .30 (1.30)
10¢ - 1.50 (5.60)
25¢ - 1.25 (7.25)
Total - 3.32 (16.01)

Included in June's total: 1936, 1940-S, 1942-S wheaties, 1943-P nickel

Apartment complex parking lot: 1.39

Brazil <--13th country for 2024!
1 real (2012)

Canada
5 cents (2011)
10 cents (1921-2021)

Great Britain
1 penny (2000 x2, 2014)

Jamaica

Mexico
10 centavos (1996)

Tokens
No Cash Value golf token (no date)

Holy Mackerel!!!! I found a 1967 Canadian silver dime in a local Coinstar. As most of you know, 1967 is the year that canada put animals on the back of all denominations with the dime featuring a Mackerel. This is my first ever silver from a Coinstar.
